must be santa

We made our annual trip to visit the jolly bearded one this past weekend. Yes, we went to the mall...to see Santa...on a weekend. The line was huge and spilled out of the maze-like structure provided for this purpose and around the entire display.

Squint and you can see Adoh, Nana and the kids at the end of the line.

Here they are up close

It took so long that J was actually able to get a haircut while everyone else waited in line.

Considering his propensity for ear piercing psychotic lid-flippage which has been exhibited during prior santa visits and hair cuts, the boy actually rose to the occasion. Not a single protest at the haircut, despite having a mouthful of recently snipped bangs. (Watching him repeatedly wipe his tongue with a tissue was kind of entertaining).

And E used her time to write a note to Santa

When it was our turn, his father lifted him over the fence, he opened his arms, shouted "Santa!", ran to give the big guy a hug, and climbed right up into his lap and took a really cute picture. The girls were incredibly patient as well.

Other weekend highlights were making these great gingerbread houses with Adoh and Nana and having dinner with Grandma and Grandpa and getting their Christmas dresses.

Great post. If that doesn't fill a reader with holiday spirit, then they're most likely a grinch that says bah-humbug!
