The word allegory reminded me about somehting I read about C.S. Lewis and his refuting that Narnia is just that, there was another word he used. I couldn't remember where I read it, but through the help of Google, on my firs hit, I found a surprisingly concise summaary of just that through this "For Dummies" site. He uses the word "supposal" I could blather on but I should be getting ready for work. Heres the link for anyone interested:
I went to the link and read the article and now am more confused then ever! I have to see this movie or read the book, because, I feel like I'm so clueless. sigh

Interesting link. I suppose ;) if you insist on something long enough then people will start to believe it.
Regardless it is a good read, despite it spanning 7 books. Haven't seen the movie(s) but in my humble opinion a good book is better than a movie any day (except for Lost). :)

I am totally clueless about the story and movie. I guess I need to see the first one soon.
It would make more sense to read the book and know that it is an allegory (?) than I think to watch the first movie.
So many book, so little time.
